Chapin Park is located adjacent to and east of the museum. There are picnic tables and a grassy area for activities where you can relax and enjoy the shade or sun and listen to the waters of Thomas Creek.
The park is owned and maintained by the City of Scio and is open from dawn to dusk.
A BIT ABOUT US
The Scio Historical Society is dedicated to preserving the history of Scio and
the Scio area.
The Scio Historical Society is located in the historic West Scio Train Depot, thus the name Depot Museum. The society was formed in 1983 and the train depot was dismantled and moved to Scio where it was reassembled to house the Scio Historical Society in 1985.
The Museum is located on the banks of Thomas Creek and adjacent to Chapin Park.
